If something is legal you shouldn't have to walk on eggshells wondering if the government will take it away the next day. Especially because of fear mongering propaganda and emotional instead of fact based decisions.

For the banning.guns crowd how would you feel about putting a governor in all vehicles restricting them to 110km or less.

I'd settle just for applying vehicle/drivers licencing standards to guns, except mental health caveats rather than vision caveats.

If you squint your eyes really hard, cross them and stare into the sun for a few hours, yeah they're almost on par.

Actually I would be cool with having to be retested every few years to keep a drivers licence. Pretty sure there are a bunch of people that would fail, would be nice to get them off the road.

I don't get your point, it's easy to get a drivers license and you don't get a daily criminal record check like the RCMP vetted PAL holders...

When has the gun hobby lobby ever 'walked on eggshells'?

What? Getting a gun license is way more complicated than getting a driver's license. As it should be

You mean other than the last two years of Bill Blair talking about banning guns?

Uhm you don’t remember the uproar when people had to register their guns, can you imagine if they had to get insurance as well(if we are going to make it like owning a car)

Guns are covered under house insurance. Why does this even matter? The point you're trying to make is a weird one. Find any group of people that would be happy when something they enjoy gets more expensive
