When does Stockton start camp? Last year it was Sept. 24 (a Monday). I'd expect a bunch of AHLers to be cut from Flames camp as soon as that gets going. And some two-ways.

Per the CBA, waivers to assign players to the AHL begin 12 days before the regular season starts. This means that waiver eligible players can be put on waivers starting Sept 21 and if they clear assigned to the AHL.

AHL camps usually start on the Monday or Tuesday after that.

Did he even play? I don't recall hearing his name in any of the games. Was a long shot to get any kind of look here and obviously didn't do near enough to be cut loose this early in camp.

Being cut this early would make me think he has little to no chance being signed to an AHL feal as well.

I don’t even remember him playing a game. They must have either not liked what they saw in practice, or decided he would only fit here on an AHL deal.

I'm guessing at least 10 guys get sent down right about then.

Sounds about right. There are 6 players on AHL contracts up in the main camp. In addition to that a couple of goalies (Parsons and Schneider probably), Grenier (PTO) at the very least.

They have a great team in the American League, as well, and a great team in the National League. So to me, it seems like a good fit.

They play in San Jose on the 26th...I am thinking that is a one way plane...
