Windows 7 constant quick freezes?

I tried googling this but the results don't match my problem. Hopefully I can explain this properly.

An extremely annoying problem is happening with my laptop. Every 30 seconds or so, the mouse cursor disappears for a half of a second. If it happens while I'm typing, what I've typed during this "blink" is not remembered, causing me to type half-words constantly. If I am in a drop down menu, the menu closes as if someone clicked on another part of the screen.

This happens everywhere on my computer; firefox, Word, desktop... It is VERY annoying.

Any ideas?

I've had that and it always ended up being Firefox, and I think specifically the Flash plugin.. if I closed Firefox or restart it it would work fine for a random amount of time.
