The insufferable Sharks homer just called Joonas Donskoi "the Donfather." Nauseating.
Oh, and it is 1-0 for CBJ.

They need to go on a 5 or 6 game winning streak to get back into it. Not impossible, but I’m certainly not holding my breath.

I was just riffing on the popular Oiler fan opinion that teams play them hard, but rest against us.

No, I remember. It was the worst of times.
Bobrovsky is looking solid so far.

The SJ radio guys are pretty big homers, too. Every call of a play is suffixed with a "no penalty on the play" qualifier. If there is a penalty call? I've actually heard "And only one penalty on the play."

Now the Panthers have two fans in the stands!

Brent Burns sure does get a lot of latitude from NHL officials. I wonder if it is because they think he is a Sasquatch and are scared?

A quick heads up for viewers east of Alberta, especially in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Islanders-Canucks game is only on the Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary Citytv stations. Sportsnet is showing the game, but not the West channel which will have the Ducks-Oilers game instead. It is surprising that Sportsnet One and SN360 are both showing the Ducks-Oilers game. Time shift package will be needed in those two provinces.

According to the SJ broadcast, the big problem with the Sharks in this game is that they are not "zigging and zagging the right way."
Top notch analysis, there.

Artemi Panarin is so good—it's a shame that he won't sign in CBJ. I think he reminds me more of Pavel Datsyuk than any other player.

CBJ with an excellent penalty kill to keep SJ off the board, and Bobrovsky looks fantastic today.
