What is there right now, maybe 10-12 teams in the league that are any good that you might want to watch. Rams, Vikings, Packers, Saints, Eagles in the NFC. Patriots, Steelers, Chargers and Chiefs in the AFC. Than some teams like the Texans and Panthers who can be entertaining at times. Unfortunately with everyone getting on Thursday Night....we get a lot of duds.
In terms of MNF, I have no idea why ESPN pays so much for it. At least with Sunday NBC gets the option to flex in a better matchup after the Networks protect their desired matchup. Fact is in a league with this many mediocre teams...come bye week season, the pick of the litter does get a bit underwhelming. ESPN really have to speculate, and when they pick wrong, there is no mulligan.

To think the Bills traded down so the Chiefs could draft Maholmes because him or DeSean Watson weren't worth taking with their pick.

The Raiders ship is sinking like the titanic and players want off it.
Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie announced on Instagram he's hanging up his cleats.

Demariyus Thomas to the Texans. Great move for both teams I think.

For a 4th rd pick.
Shows how bizarre the Cowboys are for giving up a 1st for Cooper.

Thomas might actually be one of the few receivers who drops even more balls than Cooper.

Well he wasn't playing (never saw the field last game) so he retired. I don't think it has anything to do with jumping off the Titanic as the Raiders are going to play their young players the rest of the season.

Not really as Golden Tate got a 3rd round pick an like Thomas he's 30. It feels like Cooper has been around for a while but he's only 24 years old so two players are rentals and the Cowboys were looking long term. I like the trade for the Raiders but I think Cooper's best days are still ahead of him and the trade may work out okay for the Cowboys.

Thomas is a great fit in Houston. Somehow expected DeSean Jackson to land there, but Thomas should complement Hopkins well too.

Ty Montgomery to the Ravens for a 2020 7th round pick. Should have taken the knee.

I dunno... that decision could end up working out better for him.
Id be interested to see what Aaron Rodgers is thinking though, as the Packers sell off their pro bowl safety from an already underwhelming defense

From 2 years ago...
He's been very underwhelming since and is a really polarizing player. Much closer to avg then he is pro bowl caliber. Even with him their safety player was pretty sub par and they weren't keeping him next year.

He was still a top 5 safety per PFF this season after the first 4-5 games. Either way it's not a great endorsement of confidence in your team when you're selling off players halfway through the season

I don’t think the Packers can be too picky about their D, it’s terrible.

I know PFF has him highly ranked but that's mostly due to interceptions, only 1 of which was really a good play by Ha Ha and the other 2 were lucky (ie Smith threw one right to him in Washington). He isn't terrible, but every game this year you can make a cut up of game breaking mistakes he makes and in just about every game this year he's given up a touchdown mostly because he's so tentative in coverage. The Packers are not going to miss him near as much as most think so thus why I don't agree with the idea that it's not a good look. Montgomery was going to be cut anyway so the fact they got something for him is pretty surprising.
Packers ability to win and compete this season rests on Rodgers and their offence breaking out not on their D (which is only OK at best and will remain as such without any type of pass rush talent). Their formula didn't change based on the deadline.

It' strikes me odd that a team that's 3-3-1 and still in the mix for the division and has a window with Aaron Rogers closing that they would be selling a guy like Clinton-Dix at the deadline who was an every snap player for them.
