I like the call to go for the win with the 2-point conversion. The odds of scoring on a play from the 2 yard line is much better than holding the Chiefs in check in overtime especially they way this game is being officiated.

That's a great play call. Going for two not letting Mahomes get the ball in OT.

Wow that's a statement win, Chargers can't be underestimated anymore. I don't watch the Chargers enough, especially as an NFC guy. I was very impressed with Mike Williams, dude catches everything.

Chiefs might become the first team in NFL history to use every draft pick in one year on the secondary. They have pretty much everything else in place, but you can't win the Super Bowl when your coverage skills are so abject. Rivers really didn't have to make any tough throws, if he had time it was easy.

Yeah that ends the season I think. Likely get crushed in Pittsburgh in Wild Card week now. Chargers played well. Rivers is freaking tough. Gets mediocre protection heaves it up there and his guys are there.
Best be able to play defence come December. Chiefs can't. At least they have picks in this draft to try and fix it.

Lol Sylvanfan you always say your Chiefs are done, have some faith in your team. Or maybe that's your schtick.

I think he's secretly trying to reverse-jinx them. Mind you I kept being a downer about the Eagles last year, so I get it.

Or maybe 30 years of playoff disappointment has something to do with it.

First of all I don't think they will play in Wildcard weekend because the Chargers have to finish ahead of them in the standings to win the division. I suppose the Seahawks could give them a run but they finish against the Raiders which they should win easily. That said we have seen this before with Andy Reid teams and I'm just ever going to put my money on him in the playoffs. I also think Mahomes is getting away with a lot of ill advised passes that are going to catch up to them eventually. That throwing the ball with the left hand stuff has to go.

The same section of the Chiefs fan base melting down over the potential loss of home field advantage is the same section that would freak out about the Chiefs being cursed at home for not winning a home playoff game since the early 90s.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love the call going for two and the win. The NFL is too often a league where coaches play not to lose rather than play to win and the result is ultra conservative play calling (and a boring game). It's all about not making so called mistakes rather than taking a risk and a big payout. It would be so easy to kick the extra point and the tie. If KC wins in OT the coach won't take the heat, the blame goes to the defence for not stopping the Chiefs, or the offence or not scoring. But almost certainly not on the coach. Going for two means the coach takes 100% of the blame if it doesn't work out and most guys won't take that chance. Hang the loss on anyone but yourself seems to be the mantra.
I also love this call because it sends a great message to his team - that he has confidence in them to go out and win. This is the stuff that pays off down the road.

Of what benefit is it to go for 2 when it's 28-20 with only 3:49 left in the game? Zero chance of getting two FG's with that little time left. You can argue up by only 6 points the Chiefs are maybe more aggressive on their last drive rather than going conservative trying to kill the clock and the Chargers either never get he ball back or the Chiefs move into FG position and ice the game. They played things perfectly hence the final score.
