Practice airs at 11:45 AM (TSN 2) for those of us here in Calgary. Forecast looks pretty wet for Sunday.

Thanks for the Blogging CT, Glad to hear Ricciardo got his grin back!

Yesterday I did the fine art museum. It was tremendous. Top notch. Pompeii exhibit, Napoleon exhibit, then art from 900-1800 were all great. Spent a good 4 hours their after I left the track.

Then at night I walked around downtown. I don't drink or party so I was home by 1130 but it was cool to walk around.

Today is gorgeous. Nice cool breeze. Sitting at hairpin today. Section 15 which is directly across from the apex of the turn. I'm just high enough in row O section 2 that no fence blocks the track and I'm dead centre staring at the Rolex thing on the grass.

I'll post pictures later. Battery too precious to was right now.

Massa crashed going into turn 1 like 20 mins in. Mercs fastest as usual.

Spent most of my life savings on merch in like 20 mins lol.

Right now I'm laying in a hammock in the shade in the Heineken area. Yay for new sponsorships. There were no hammocks last year when this was a sleaman area or whatever.

Just ate lunch in the park about 20 mins ago and spotted a groundhog wondering around. Presumably he's preparing for his appearance Sunday. Planning where best to pop out.

What are they charging for a beer? The prices in Austin were like $12 USD.

McLaren are 2s down to Mercedes.

They are going to need some weather on Sunday to get points.

Beer seems relatively cheap. I'd guess 6-7$ I don't drink so I'm just going by memory of seeing signs. They can't charge too much or no one will buy because you can bring your own.

By relatively I mean since tshirts are $90. $120 for a polo and $250 for a jacket.

Props to the group of animals in grandstand 15 section 3 today. I'd say there were about 4 of them. Booked at least 8 seats. They needed room for their two giant coolers. Then he busted out a gas powered blender and started making margaritas. Then screw drivers? Then something else. They were middle aged dudes. Whoever sits next to them on race day is gonna be tanked lol.

For the race tomorrow I am at turn 1/2. Grandstand 12. Today Im right across from rosbergs garage about 10 rows up.

The cars are definitely louder this year. The Honda engine sounds awful at low speeds. But flat out on the straight it is ####ing amazing. Just screams past. Ferrari and red bull are much quieter. Force India and Williams are also quite loud.

Vettel was quickest in fp3. I think he was the only guy under 1:14. Red bull had good pace too. But the mercs are known for never going all out in fp3.

Ricciardo brushed the WOC on a wicked lap, too bad, pretty sure he could have at least slid past Vettel.

Good qualifying fun! Thanks Cecil, was going to ask if the Honda engines sound as bad in person Should be a great race tomorrow, hope you don't get to wet(but a little rain always makes Montreal interesting!). I've got Lewis as my pick for first.

Probably won't get a chance to watch until Sunday night or monday if my day goes poorly, so won't check back after tonight. Enjoy the race guys!

Yeah it was almost comical how bad the Honda sounded around the hairpin yesterday. It has this weird stuttering sound. But at full revs holy Jesus. Legit hurt my ears today.

Looking at Environment Canada, they have 60% chance of precip. and wind 40 gusting to 60. Just watching the pre race show the weather looks not that bad.

What's your take on the weather Cecil? ...thanks in advance if you have time to chime in

Man, I'm glad the CBC isn't covering the Canadian Grand Prix like they used to do a few years ago.

Does Ferrari think? Vettel has to do a stint with the soft (yellow sidewall) tire according to FIA rules for this race. I dont understand the early pit and putting Vettel on the super soft tires which means they've committed to a two stopper where as Lewis is obviously looking at a one stop. I must be missing something.

Great Race!

-Ferrari is certainly catching Merc. The rest of the season is going to be interesting.
-Bummed about Ricciardo's race, RB just didn't have what it takes for this course.
-The check but Lewis at turn 1 was questionable. Nico's obviously pissed.
-Super Happy for Williams and Bottas.

......Looking forward to the insiders report from CT?

Also, The Ferrari boss was super annoyed in the post race interview regarding the "mistake" to bring Sebastian in for the super soft, then even more annoyed when the reporter asked: "Will there be changes in the future to avoid these mistakes?" Wow!!! ....if looks could kill.

I'm out right now but all I have to say is poor Seb. He had a chance at catching Lewis, I think commentary was super hard to hear but he was as close as 4s with 20 laps to go and gaining when he spun.

Despite being once again decked out in red bull gear boy did I cheer when he came off the line! Both sections went nuts!
