Dec 7 Practice notes. Smith starts vs Preds. Backlund will miss at least 2 games
Practice scheduled at noon, but Stone is skating before practice.

#Flames defenceman Michael Stone is back on the ice this morning, skating on his own before practice. He’s recovering from a blood clot in his arm.

Probably for some time too. You don't just go on blood thinners for 2 weeks and then go off.
He can probably do non-contact skating for conditioning though.

It is time for the Flames to prove that they can be resilient. Lots of players have been waiting for their chance to get more opportunities. Its time for the young guys like Czarnick, Mangianpane, Jankowski and Bennett to make a statement.

What is interesting is there hasn't been any callups reported on the ice.
According to Loubardias, Giordano is on the ice.

Interesting, so they are completely done with the idea of Bennett at centre now? I think he’s still better than Czarnik at centre. Maybe this means Backlund will be back or they will be calling up a centre from Stockton. Can’t see Peters playing Czarnik at centre.
