Hanifin 5.5. for 8 years
Lindholm 4.75 for 6 years
If Brad can get those numbers or better they win that trade easily

Lindholm isn't worth more than 4 unless you can get 7 or 8 years with him. The number definitely should not start with a 5

I think we can do Lindholm for 6-7 years at 5M per. I think Hanifin is going to want a bridge.

I have faith that both will be signed to reasonable contracts. If there's one thing Treliving can do, it's things like this.
I hope both are long term.

I want a bridge for Hanifin and then a long term extension in 2 or 3 years
He needs to be part of the team for the next 10 years at least

Flames can't do 8 year deals with them because they weren't on the Flames roster at the last trade deadline.
Max the Flames can do is 7

Well the Hurricanes offered him just north of 4 with his agent wanting just over 5 (no indication of term from either side), and here we are. Meet in the middle around $4.5M - $4.75M with term? Or does that number go up the more years he signs for beyond 5 or 6 seasons?
Hanafin, I have no idea. Comparables are hard to find. Ekblad got 8 x $7.5M AAV, Seth Jones got 6 x $5.4M AAV, Darnell Nurse slid and is an RFA same as Hanafin. Ryan Murray bridged for $2.825M for 2 years. Morgan Rielly got 6 x $5M.

For Hanifin I give him 7 years, 4.285 million per for an even 30 million
For Lindholm I go 6 x 4.75

The Flames currently only have 9 roster players under contract for 19-20 which is when Tkachuk hits RFA. Cap space at the moment stands to look at about $35.5M at that time. Lindholm and Hanafin will both likely eat into that figure. In addition to Tkachuk signing for 19-20, the Flames as it stands will be looking to re-sign Bennett and Lazar. Not to mention a starting goalie unless Smith gets extended.
It's a long way away with a lot of moving parts between now and next summer.

Lock up both long term, or else the trade is pointless.
5.25m x 6 for Lindholm
5.25m x 7 for Hanifin
