I really dig both of these jerseys.

Looking forward to seeing the Flames in full equipment to see how the whole kit comes together with red pants and white helmet etc.

Be interesting to see where and when they wear these outside the Heritage game. Do they dare go off brand and wear these at home?

Super minor gripe but that captain C, at least on the one they showed today, looks a tad too big, at least for that size of jersey.

Thankful they didn't make the XL size numbers thst some teams have done for Stadium Series unis, and that means even more likely these get adopted as is.

And, Saddledome Fanattic does or did sell road whites, there's where I got my authentic a couple years back. They tuck them away a bit, but they are there.

Plus I think white jerseys actually look pretty nice in the C of Red during the season. It's the yellow, green, grey, black shirts/jackets that ruin it.

Also, with the red shoulders, if someone does commit the faux pas of wearing a white jersey to a playoff game, they'll blend in better to the red than the white shouldered jerseys do.

Not sure what you were expecting? Obviously both teams are going for a retro look for the event, so these jerseys seem like a slam dunk for me.

The Jets came out with a different look for their alternate last year (sky blue Walmart jersey) and it's one of the worst in the entire league IMO.

That Jets Jersey is hot. I am tempted to buy one, in addition to the Flames one I just bought...

My wife won't be too happy with me by the end of the week... lol

Kent Nilsson might be the only player to have worn both original iterations of those jerseys (sorry, couldn't find a pic of Kenta in blue).

I stand corrected. Dan Labraaten would be another player who had donned both jerseys.

Close, same logo but striping had changed by mid 80s.

The heritage jersey is the very good WHA team that won the Avco cup several times. That Jets jersey is the horrible NHL team that merged in 79-80.
