Honestly, Projekt Red gets a pass because they have a reputation for putting out quality games. I'm happy to wait a bit longer if they're not completely satisfied with the product.

Normally I would give them a pass also but they were very sure yesterday that there were no more delays and people planned around this and that is why they should never commit to a date until its released.

What do you mean people planned around this? What type of plans?
If the game isn’t ready, then don’t release it

This is a game people are really excited for and with no where to go and time off want to plan their PTO around it a little. Its not like everyone can book days without a ton of notice.
Also if the game isn't ready don't go gold either.

I mean, chances are the decision was made by someone at a pay grade higher than "guy who tweets".
I get it, I'm still bummed Shadowlands has no release date and I have a bunch of PTO just hanging in the wind, but such is life.

100% and for the record I'm not mad about the little extra delay its just the reason companies should avoid hard dates. Can't fault someone that works at a company that may not be as lenient as others for wanting to know what days to pre book.

I would imagine there's a lot of pressure from suppliers handling pre-orders to provide a firm date so saying; "We will ship it when it's ready" isn't going to make consumers, suppliers, or shareholders very happy.

I think this probably represents a small amount of people? Maybe not, I don’t know.
I’m as excited as anyone to play it but I’m not booking days off to play it.

I'm pretty convinced that Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't actually exist.

Anyone else excited to give Watch Dogs:Legion a spin or is it just me. Their near future style recreation of London looks bonkers.

Meh it's hard to get excited about any Ubisoft game. I'll probably get a month of Uplay+ for AC Valhalla and end up trying Watch Dogs as well, but fully expect to be extremely disspointed by both

Im a pretty big fan of the Assassins Creed series but havent played watch dogs before. I play AC as much for the virtual tourism as for the gameplay so a well realized London in a dystopian espionage setting is pretty exciting to me. Odyssey was pretty bloated but on the whole I thought it was a pretty darn good game. I doubt mine is a unanimous opinion but I thought the story was pretty engaging. I ignored a lot of the mechanics but it was fun regardless. Origins story was a bit lacking for me but had more interesting locations than odyssey. TBH i don't have a hugely critical eye for video games; I just tend to marvel at them and Ubisoft seems to offer more in depth worlds than most. Out of interest what disappoints you about Ubisoft games? The microtransactions?

I would be had they not signed an exclusive deal with Epic. I guess like Valhalla I'm waiting a year to see if they're fully boycotting Steam. If they are then I'll get it on Uplay.

So because you have to buy from one store instead another, where you technically don't have to leave the seat of your chair, You are boycotting?
I do not get this...what is the big difference?

Why should you buy from a company whose business practices you don't agree with?
Instead of trying to give people a reason to buy from them over Steam, Epic tries to force people to buy from them over Steam. Then Tim Sweeney tells bull#### stories about how he's doing it for the developers. No, you're doing it for Epic and only Epic.

One of the greatest games of all, Ocarina of Time, had massive delays before launch. The quality of the game should always trump any timeline of release.

This is a great point. Nintendo is quite good at delaying games intelligently.
If they're delaying games, it's usually for the best.
