Running a hockey team sounds like a dream job to me. And I don't really think the POHO is pounding away 12 hours a day at the office.

That's ridiculous. You can't see why a passionate hockey mind wouldn't want to continue to try to chase championships for a huge franchise that he loves?
I think you're projecting your standard citizen's 9-5 career that they were waiting to retire from to a professional sports league, lol.

It's not that old for a hockey exec. At 66 Davidson is younger than Ken King, Lou L., Sather, Patrick, Tallon, Poile, Rutherford and close in age to Holmgren, Nill, Holland, Murray, Nicholsen, etc.
