Default Would you accept this trade?

Ottawa GM says he has an enticing offer for Iginla, here it is.. (The team that gets the best player(s) wins the trade right?)

To Ottawa:

Iginla
Giordano

To Calgary:

Greening
Daugavins
Petersson
Gonchar
1st round pick in 2013

I think this would be extremely fair. You get two solid young players with quite a bit of potential. Greening already has a good ovr, is a well rounded player and has room to improve. Petersson would be a great bottom 6 guy for you, he can play in any situation and also has the potential to keep getting better. You also get Daugavins for the bottom 6 for some extra depth, great PK guy. Giordano has the edge on Gonchar but not by much in OVR.You get the 1st rounder to make up any difference.

I know you don't get any flashy big name, but at this point Iginla is good for a couple more years before a pretty steady decline and than retirement sometime during this league.

I can be flexible and change some things around, but this deal makes sense for me, it would be pointless to swap top 6 forwards cause all of my guys minus Alfie are younger with potential.

The Iginla side wins by a landslide. I havent even heard of most of the crap OTT is offering. Gonchar is like ancient now isnt he?

For whatever reason, the trade values of Gio and Iggy in NHL 13 are just awful. Cam Barker has more trade value than both players combined.

That's an incredible amount of depth for the Iggy side. I'm being shopped a couple of depth players. I'd ask for an extra pick and see if I required a salary dump.

Knowing your type of league, depth of league, and cats might help...though I'm not sure in this case it's necessary. You likely have players on your team equivalent to the guys he's peddling who you'd have to drop to make this work so no point in doing it as you don't get back an Iginla level guy.

If you dont care about burning the bridge you could reply back to him saying his comments about how crappy Iginla is really got to you and you wouldn't feel right in taking all these "solid young guys" back for someone who is going to be a burden on his team so fast. "you already have a broken down past his prime Gonchar, I wouldn't feel right in just giving you the same issue with Iggy."

I would never trade Gio.. replace him with the likes of Anton Babchuk and I'd take that deal.

Figured this didn't need a new thread but I'm looking for a second opinion on this fantasy trade:

I get:
Loui Eriksson
Milan Michalek

I give up:
Thomas Vanek
Simon Gagne or Jamie McGinn

It's a weekly head to head league. 3 pts for goal, 2 for assist, 1 or -1 for each plus or minus. Then an extra pt for pp pts and an extra 2 pts for a short handed goal.

I'm leaning towards doing the one with Gagne. Vaneks been unbelievably awesome so far but he's gonna cool down and there's not much else to Buffalos offence beyond him. Gagne usually sits on my bench anyways and will probably get hurt soon as well heh.

I figure Eriksson's been underperforming a bit and he's been a solid but quiet fantasy player the last few years. Also has some good players around him. Michalek is much better than Gagne IMO but I wonder if last year was a bit of a fluke and Spezza is also gone now. Still he's usually good for a streaky 20 goals and 40 to 50 pts it seems.

Any thoughts and input would be much appreciated!
