Edmonton is a one line team, two if you include PP1. Flames have been playing very well (aside from Smith) but need to bury their chances. I think this one could be a low scoring affair — Flames win 3-1 (Monahan, Neal, Backlund-EN).
I agree, but merit doesn’t always shine through in the DOPS. I wouldn’t have been surprised if there was something. Tkachuk got suspended twice last season for similar but less serious acts.
Not sure what to expect. Would be great for our first line to get on the board, would be even better if we FINALLY get some secondary scoring outside of tkatchuk. Would be nice to get solid goaltending and if they can contain mcdavid.
Lot of things to be hopeful for. Don't have a great feeling about tonight.
That being said, i wish I still lived in cgy on these days. Either going to the game or catching it at a bar with other flames fans would sure beat watching the BOA alone at home.
Other than a period in San Jose the Flames skaters have been pretty consistent for the most part. They don't appear to let much knock them off their game.
Much different than last year where there seemed to be a lot of anxiety to start games, or if something went wrong.

Since McDavid’s arrival in 2015, the Battle of Alberta has become an actual battle. The Flames are 5-6-3 since McDavid’s debut, and the Oilers’ top dog has 15 points in 12 games against Calgary.
I'm happy the Flames resisted using Prout or Peluso or something dumb like that. Just outskate /outplay those Neanderthals! Roll with what's been working (skater wise) and change up what hasn't been working! (Goalie)
