Duran Duran - Paper Gods

it's their best effort since the Wedding Album, hands down.

AC: totally agree, it's not so much the style of metal that's unique but their take on it. Very frantic, you can almost feel the frayed nerves. And their just a two peice! In that song kali, the guitar riff at the end just... Feels so good. Hits you right in the chest, I love it.

Wish I knew what the hell they were saying though lol

A couple other good Czech bands you may or may not know:
Lykathea Aflame and Duobetic Homunkulus.

Dude, HUGE fan of Lykathea Aflame, Elvenfris is a landmark metal album IMO. Such a shame their drummer contracted... Can't remember off hand but I believe he came down with some extremely rare nerve disorder that effects hands and feet, essentially the death blow for drummers. And he was gaining respect in the drumming community, not just among metal guys. He was superb. Never heard of Duobetic Homunkulus, I will for sure check them out tonight when I get off work, thanks for the suggestions.

It's one of the more recent projects by one of the !T.O.O.H.! guys.

Cool, I didn't know that, should be a good listen then.

I'm sure your probably already know of this site, but bnrmetal.com is my go to metal resource. I beleive the owner of the site has been cataloging bands since... 96? One of my favourite places on the web.

I can't get enough of this track lately. Really love the piano in the chorus, and the guitar solo is pure 70's arena rock

Surprise #1: Collective Soul is still together
Surprise #2: Their new album is actually pretty good

Oh man, I wonder how much I'd annoy some of you if I dumped all the music I've found since I've last posted... Sampler:
