So if Davidson is doing well maybe its Brodie that sits?

Brandon joins Toby, Milan and Cam on the Flames. Another dman and a forward and we can have an entire Oiler 6 man unit.

Only you would know. Did you do this on your Xbox?

Didn't know Davidson was doing so well. Worth a shot, since this team has yet to get on a roll.

People are so short sited. Kylington doesn't require waivers, can be sent down at will. They are probably seeing what they have in depth. I think we are going to see one of Brodie/Hamonic traded, and they are seeing what they have as depth options.

Of note, Brodie only played 14 minutes last game, while other D men were in the 20s.

See if you can trade Brodie or Hamonic for Couturier.

Puljujarvi or Hall, maybe we can trade for Schultz.

In that case, Jurco on waivers. Go get him.

I truly hope this is just a matter of bringing Davidson up to eat popcorn and sit every single game. Whilst ensuring Oliver is playing big minutes in the AHL, rather than sit, if Stone will be playing the games for a bit. Stone is still an NHLer at least. Whereas I don’t want Davidson in the Flames lineup at all. He is 28, no upside and is a tweeter at best.

My bet is that he comes up for about 5 and gets into one or maybe two games. He may have no upside but his great AHL performance (which he's never shown before) has earned him a callup.

I don;t know who around here watched the Heat but why is this guy doing so well this year, when his best AHL performance before was 13 pts (and best NHL was 11)?

Worth pointing out that the D pairs in the last game were:

Gio-Hamonic
Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Brodie

with the 3rd pair getting significantly fewer minutes. So if you're going to run that top-4 it makes sense to go with Brodie-Stone over Kylington-Brodie.

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Coach Peters says the team wants Kylington to start killing penalties, which is a big motivation for sending him to Stockton.

They’ll use him extensively in that role there as they continue his development. #Flames

I like it. Kylington has a lot of speed, so he has the potential to be a dangerous penalty killer.

I do feel a little bad for Oliver. How many more times does he need to see Stockton?

But I suppose its better to learn the PK ropes where it doesn't hurt the big club.

Peters has developed plenty of young D men, I think that Kyllington is in good hands.

Once Valimaki is back, one of these left handed defensemen will need to learn how to play the right as well. It always made the most sense for this person to be Kylington, because of his mobility. I wonder if they will give him some reps there in Stockton.

If there are trades later to shore up the 2nd line, it will come at the expense of the blue line, so need to know what you got

Maybe it is done to showcase Brodie for trades to prove that he can carry a D-pairing and not relying on Gio?

Dropping to the third pair doesn't showcase Brodie. It showcases Hamonic on the first.
