TV? Streaming without commercials.
YouTube? Ad-block.

I watch all my hockey via the NHL official streams which cut commercials out completely.
I've almost eliminated advertising from my life completely.
Instead of the radio I listen to my iPod or podcasts where I can skip any ad-read instantly. It's glorious.

Yup same here. Now the closest I get to a commercial is the "Commercial break in progress" splash screen

God I can't stand that Tim Horton's commercial with the guy slurping the coffee. That has instantly skyrocketed to the top of my list of commercials I will have a burning hatred for forever.

Mad respect to AC for rocking the iPod in 2020.

150 GB!
Spotify or other streaming options aren't practical for me. Nor will most of my music be available through those services.
That being said, I'm basically all podcasts now unless I'm at the gym where I upload music to my phone still.

Is there an easy way to skip the ads in a podcast? I just advance 15 seconds and hopefully it times up properly.

No, that's about it. You can finetune the amount of time you skip. Usually takes a couple presses forward and 1 press back.

I use Ipod mini at the gym as I don't bring my phone for workouts.

Figures that that bald idiot on the A&W commercials would use his "phone" in portrait mode for a TV commercial. He even manages to sound pretentious and irritating when thanking people.

I avoided A&W for years because of those commercials. Which is too bad, because when I finally tried it again last summer, I really liked it. I'd say they are my go-to fast food burger now.

For me, any discussion about annoying commercials starts and ends with the My Pillow radio ads. I hate that vile, Trump-loving man.

Perhaps. But like Table 5, I avoid A&W specifically because of how much I hate that guy and those commercials. A&W's ads are as pretentious and smarmy as even the worst Apple commercials. I'm waiting for them to come out with a "what's a hamburger?" commercial to promote the superiority of their inferior burgers.

Yeah, the My Pillow ads drive me batty. I've been watching CNN more because of the Covid, and I'm surprised at the number of ads for websites and Apps on it.
However, some of the ads for some companies that are based on self-isolation are done really well. I always stop what I'm doing to watch the Uber one, lol.

The recent Nissan ad is GMG a bit. I don't tend to watch TV, just listen to it in the background. I understand that they are saying "we are here to support our current customers" but every time I hear it, it sounds like "we are here to support the COVID virus."
