Not that I want to defend this awful commercial, but it's not like you can wake up in the morning, see that it's snowing, and throw together a commercial shoot that day. The logistics of these things have to be planned well in advance.
But yeah, still an awful awful ad.

where's the old Safeway that they use in that commercial? I don't see too many of that old style Safeway buildings around anymore.

It's now called Family Foods, on the corner of 8th Ave and 19th St NE. It was also the store that Oliver Platt's character owned in the first season of Fargo.

I watch Modern Family after work just as something light to throw on in the background while I'm getting dinner ready. They play this commercial like, twice an episode. It's so obnoxious. This is only about 15 seconds of the commercial. Thank god. VIDEO
