At this point I think there's zero chance. Relay Pro is still working for me but it's only a matter of time.
Edit: Relay is still working because they're going to charge a subscription fee that will be announced in the future. Until then it's free it use. Check it out.

I used Sync a lot for reddit and it appears the app creator is putting out an app for Lemmy, apparently a decentralized/federated open source link aggregator software, lemmy.world which ReddThat.com are using. Hopefully something comes of this.

The offical Reddit app is terrible. RIF was so simple, clean and easy swiping jestures. This is a mess

If they design apps anything like they design websites, I'm not surprised.

The "old" reddit website is what I still use and it's ulgy but brilliant.

I'm not sure why but I've been using BaconReader without issue today. Definitely not cached stuff as items I'm reading are current.
Thinking maybe I should stop as I'm probably costing the app author money.

Keep opening Apollo due to muscle memory. Don’t plan on going back to Reddit too frequently….
Now if Elon could just kill Twitter too lol.

Think it's dead now too. I'm getting 401 unauthorized responses when I open it today.

Interesting. Just tried now, and it is still working for me. It doesn't make sense - if the developers have cancelled their API key, it should just stop working period. So either the key is not cancelled (which would mean the developers are incurring charges) or Reddit's implementation of their API is flawed or has some sort of grace period built in.

Ok, so it seems that BaconReader works fine if you don't log in (I had created an account years ago, but never used it). Sounds like the paid api only relates to actions that require logging in, such as voting, commenting, etc. If you're just a lurker like me, it works fine.

RIF still works for me. I can't log in though, but I have all my favorite subreddits still available on the sidebar. Obviously the front page doesn't have all my custom subscriptions, but it's manageable since I can view all my subreddits with ease. Tried the official reddit app last night and I lasted about 5 mins before going back to RIF.
I guess it will cut down on my commenting, but the fact I can still use as read-only is a good thing.

Same here. I absolutely can't stand desktop sites using a mobile design, old reddit wasn't great, but new reddit is brutal
