Dougie makes the most sense to trade. I posted a month ago many reasons why I see him traded and believe he is still the big piece of trade bait.
The biggest point is that he has 1 more year on his deal before a modified no trade clause kicks in making his trade value higher this off season than it will be next off season. He tied Bostons hands because he wasn't happy with how things worked out for his brother and it is not as if is celebrating how things turned out in Calgary for his brother. His trade value will not get any higher than it is right now and up to the trade deadline. Assuming we are going to be a playoff team, I am not sure such a big shake up makes sense mid season.

What if Karlsson ended up with his buddy Hedman in Tampa? Hoffman hanging out in Sunrise, a natural rivalry now has some genuine hate.

They both have four years remaining to UFA and similar cap hits. And Florida just traded for Hoffman. I'm thinking more that suppose they target another forward via ufa and they already have Hoffman...then it makes sense to trade a forward for a defenseman maybe?
It might be one of the best top 4 in the leauge if they add Hamilton...

I have to admit I would be sad to see Hamilton go but there are certainly things about him that drive me crazy. If a team is willing to pay a steep price to acquire him, the Flames should jump on it in my opinion.
Tough call really.

I will be ignoring my family to watch this tonight, also. I would put money down on Hamilton being gone on the draft floor, and Calgary drafting Brady Tkchuck tonight. I would want odds for sure, because I don't think it's likely but...it could happen. I don't know why but I kinda feel it in my bones that something is happening. I can't really see another reason for Calgary to make a move to get into the first round unless for someone specific like Brady. It doesn't seem to support the game plan to be trying to make picks if you feel like your window is open right now, and you need to make moves for supporting players instead.
