Head Scout Tod Button on the draft

Interesting he feels Brady Tkachuk is actually under appreciated in some ways. Far cry from those on this board who think he's overrated for some reason.

This guy has gone completely under the radar for me

https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe...linus-karlsson

Linus Karlsson

The most generic name in the draft, but he is well over a point per game in SuperElit and leading his team in scoring as a first time eligible. He is a late birthday and has had a very odd development path. And to top it all off, he's a 6'1" right shot center.

I don't know how I hadn't heard about this guy. I think he's a must pick with one of the Flames 4th rounders.

Curtis Douglas 6’9 247lb C that put up pretty decent numbers in limited games.Could be a very interesting pick in the 4th round.I do realize most Flames fans will be gun shy do to Hunter Smith and Kanzig picks in past but I think this guy has way more skill. https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe...curtis-douglas

His skating stride needs some work and his acceleration leaves something to be desired, but the pure length of his stride allows him to get up to a pretty good speed and cover a fair bit of ground in relatively short order.Very in depth read up on him. https://canucksarmy.com/2018/05/27/c...urtis-douglas/

Thanks. That's usually the draw back on the giant players. With the pure shortage of picks the flames have I see them going for a safer pick with their fourth and then maybe a project player with a later pick.

That's a huge kid though.

It could just be rankings now that teams have gotten together and done their lists

A few months ago from a Canucks perspective everyone said at 7 they had no chance at zadina or tkachuk, now from what is being said, 1 will be there at 7 and they could have choice between that, wahlstrom, or a d man

I still say the chances of Zadina or Tkachuk being there at #7 are extremely slim.

Canucks will definitely have the choice of a few dmen. You’d think that would be the priority given their depth in young forwards vs young defensemen. If I were a Canucks fan I’d be hoping for Dobson to fall to 7. Evan Bouchard could be a fine pick as well.

Effing Sharks. Would like to see us in on some of this action given our lack of picks this year. Maybe we can do same with Zamula? Free prospect never a bad thing.
