Any advice? What do you like from the ring announcers?

You need to do all of the announcements in spanish

Give every wrestler a smutty, Joel Gertner-esque poem as an intro.

NXT Take over has been unbelievably good tonight. The tag team ladder match and the Dream Breeze match have been unbelievable.

Worried a little bit to see Breeze bleeding out of his ear though and he really slowed down after that.

Right now AEW has a ton of momentum after their first show, but NXT has been really really good now for about 3 years. If WWE is going to compete with AEW it almost feels like its NXT that has to lead the way.

Good god that moonsault with a chair on Shayna by Io looked nasty.

I didn't do any Spanish intros (alas I cannot speak Spanish nor could I do Ricardo Rodriguez justice).

I got the names right, which is a plus. Although forgot to intro the referee before the first match.

Played with the script a bit, had some fun, and one of my all time favourite Maritime heels made fun of me. So all in all it wasn't bad. Was asked to come back, so I guess that's a good sign.

I won't subject any of you to the video

Awesome, though boo to not subjecting us to film, c'mon.

Did you have to do the exaggerated height and weight thing.

I still remember going to a WWF (Not E) card back in the 80's and they introduced the Iron Sheik (He threatened to break my face btw). at 5'3 and 253 pounds, and when he walked by me his head came up to my chin.

Hometown and weight was all that was required.

Here's the main event.

FYI: I'm not happy with how I said 'ECPW Championship".

Yep, for sure.

Also, Mike Hughes is a gem. One of the best heels I've ever seen. I was trying so hard not to smile and laugh when he told me to stand in the corner.

The ever so generic, yet somehow great "cut the music stupid" to start each promo, always makes me smile.

If anyone is going to PEI this summer and they have a chance to check out a Red Rock Wrestling show, you should. It's Mike's promotion.

Side note he was/is also the leader of stable The Kardinal Sinners. His main partner in crime (who wasn't on this card as he is in Austria at the moment wrestling) is Brody Steele (aka the main heel The Great Khali wrestles in CWE over in India), and another former stable mate is WWE's Bobby Roode.

A little east coast wrestling tidbits there for ya.

Caught up on NXT XXV. The tag team ladder match and Cole-Gargano 2 were both fantastic.

It still boggles my mind that the same company that writes and books NXT also books and writes Raw/Smackdown.

Don't forget Riddle / Strong, which as just ####ing awesome.

Also, Moxley debuted in NJPW at BOSJ; dude looked like he was just having so much damn fun. He looks cool in actual ring gear!

NXT = HHH, Everything else = Vince

I heard an interview from Dean who said that the writers had a "perfect" ending to Summerslam last year where The Shield would make their return and ruin Braun's Money In The Bank cash-in attempt but Brock came in at 6 p.m. and wanted it changed so Vince went with his idea instead.

Brock is becoming the new Hollywood Hogan when it comes to WWE storylines. Everything just revolves around him, he basically calls his own shots, and the fans suffer for it. And Vince lets this chicanery happen weekly.

I am also making a bold prediction: that FOX will demand that Vince pass some level of creative control to Triple H and his appointed writers before Smackdown begins airing this fall, or at least shortly after. They are going to see the AEW and NXT products and want that for more action-based wrestling shows. This is the way the market is going, Vince is literally getting stuck in a WCW twilight zone.

As one wrestling columnist put it

Vince rescued HHH from WCW midcard obscurity
Vince gave HHH the top booked spot in the company and let him bury people on will
Vince gave HHH his daughter
Vince made HHH a multi-millionaire
Vince made HHH one of the most powerful executives in the company

HHH isn't going to push Vince out the window until Vince says its time.

Bet you FOX could make that happen for Smackdown.

jumping jesus that card in SA wasn't very good.

Then the main event made every dead wrestler roll over in the graves

Goldberg busted open before he even hit the ring.

Then he and the undertaker stumbled through a god awful match.

Then just cause he's goldberg damnit he nearly kills the undertaker
