Question Firestick Ethernet Adapter (Gigabit) Recommendations

Hi all,

Looking for recommendations for an ethernet adapter that will support at least a gigabit speed for my Fire Stick (it's a 4K stick).

I've been browsing Amazon and it seems surprisingly hard (can't find ones that are either that fast or directly support a Fire Stick).

Any thoughts? And bonus points if it's available on Amazon.

Thanks in advance!

The new goggles also do nothing.

Why would a Fire Stick need gigabit speed? I doubt the little device could handle such a bitrate.

EDIT: To stream your own source material?

I can't speak to the gigabit requirement, however, for 100mbps, the following worked on a Chromecast for me. Seems like it'll work on a Firestick too.

The actual adapter is this one (the link in the article didn't work)

Maybe use that as your starting point? Also, verify that your firestick even supports gigabit. For example, many Firesticks are USB2.0. You will require USB3.0 to handle full gigabit.

Good Luck,

Well, another 30 seconds of google got me this:

Combine with this:

You can probably find the cable in the second link cheaper, I didn't search for long, but the top one apparently works with a Firestick.

As previous, realize that with USB2.0 you will probably get 300mbps overall, if you're lucky.

A forum for you to read: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336151

Yup, my own stuff not streaming off of traditional VOD services since 100mbs should be more than enough for that.
