The last thread was near its limit, so a new one had to be created rather quickly I think. This title has been around for awhile, floated as the replacement. A number of people mentioned they liked it so it was chosen.

Wasn’t “Hey Connor, it’s a mess!” more supported? I personally thought that one was way better.

I don't know, having to look up in a dictionary to understand a word that well over 90% of the population likely never heard of or used, only to be hit with the definition and go 'ah...ok I get the play on words', doesn't seem like a good tittle. Let's be honest now, how many know the word shadenfreude?

It reminds me of this, if it doesn't grab most people's attention and you have to explain the meaning, it's not very good.

It just seemed like someone just picked the title name and wanted to make the thread. I am okay with either pick, just confused that someone just decided to deem this one the thread title.

I think the bullets in the title are unnecessary, but if they must be included, they should be a lower weight.

Exactly, the Oilers and their fan base live in the past, nothing has changed. It was perfect then and is perfect today.

For the record I thought the Chiadenfreude meme was fantastic, I just don’t think it’s a grey thread title.

Yeah this really is the point here. When I first saw these extra large bullets I didn’t get what going on. And I have looked up atleast 6 words in a dictionary I believe.

Exactly why I like the title: it perfectly captures our collective CP joy in the knowledge that these threads will occur in perpetuity. Coming into this thread guarantees a pick-me-up, no matter the place or time.

I will forever take pleasure in that team's/city's miserable existence. And this is why the thread title is perfect.

Casting couch in heavy rotation;
Oiler commentators fascinated with crossovers;
Kevin Lowe will still know a thing or two about winning, in case there are any concerns;
Oilers will have two tiers of fans; and
Winter is coming.
