I also think a contributing factor was the new circuit and there was no way he knew that barrier was there relative to the gravel based on how he plowed straight into it. On the normal circuit they would normally be turning right at the point the incident occurred instead of trying to turn left to head to t5 on the outer loop.

One thing I notice din the replay is the wall was essentially the same colour as the gravel trap. I could imagine it may have come up quicker than he thought. He also had the wheels locked so he wasn't getting any steering input. I'm not sure if releasing the brakes would have allowed him to steer or not, but I've seen Hamilton do it in the past to save himself.

How to lose a drive with one titty grab. What a dunce. Doubling down putting it on TikTok is especially smart.

Haas could use a Perez me thinks. Perez/Schumacher would balance things out for them. Somebody to listen to about the car and the prodigal son reaping the benefits.

This Mazepin guy sounds like a real piece of work.

https://jalopnik.com/nikita-mazepin-...eat-1845847416

In the comments section someone posted an image of Mazepin basically trying to out Russell. You don't do that. Not that anyone should care if he is gay. But that's Russell's choice, not his.

Haas just can't seem to stop scoring own-goals. If they need the money, they should have taken Perez. This guy is going to be a constant disaster.

Makes no sense why Haas would go with Mazepin instead of Perez, unless Perez didn't want to go to Haas. Perez brings so much money as well, plus is a decent guy and an actual great driver, only thing Mazepin brings is money.

If Russell wins this week, then he truly is great.

Wow, Mazepin is an actually POS after seeing his other acts.

Amazing what having a mountain of money will do to the moral compass of employers. He should be nowhere near an F1 car but because Daddyo is a Russian Billionaire, he will drive. I sincerely hope not but I can't see how Haas doesn't kneel before the large pile of money being thrown at them.

Haas took months to ditch Rich Energy despite non payment and the obvious money laundering involved. Of course they'll keep Mazepin around.

Ya, this is F1. It takes a lot for shame to have any meaning. See Saudi GP. Or old Force India. Or, well, there are lots of examples.

Random question: all teams will have dual axis steering next year?

This is hilarious, I've been so bus this week that I thought it was Friday afternnoon when I posted this yesterday. I was wondering why no one else had submitted picks later last night.

I'm glad Hamilton's all healed up, but would have enjoyed another Russell run. I hope we get some mad donuts from the guys leaving to other teams next year.

Flamesrule, we're right down to the wire on our side bet. Stroll is in 10th with 74 points, Gasly in 11th with 71.
