The Score was nice enough to include an error reporting feature at the bottom of the page. In an effort to correct the egregious errors on the list I was happy to send in the following feed back alerting them to this. I encourage you to do the same...
"I think there is an error in the power rankings. You have Edmonton Oilers at 10th. This is an obvious mistake. If not, on what f#*#!ng planet would they be the 10th best hockey team. Not Earth. You should all feel shame and fire yourselves, stop writing about hockey, it’s not you thing. I’m sure growing up your mom told you that you could be anything you want. She was wrong."

Every time these are linked here, it feels like defeat. Like giving the obvious click-baity nonsense even an iota of time or attention has already given them victory.

I remember when the score was 24 hour text of the scores and stats. no music, just white text on a green background.
no high light videos no voices nothing.
Those were the days where not all games were televised so you would just sit and watch that screen for updates. Also were a good time to get scoring updates when you were in hockey pools as at that time a lot of people still didn't have PC's in their house or the internet. Man we have come a long way in 20 years.

Maybe now it should be green text on a white background.

I just deleted the App. That’s all it really is anyways. TheScore “Channel” was sold to SportsNet, the App is all that is left, & with this nonsensical garbage, it’s just finishing off the toilet flush.
At one time they had employed writers with a perspective worth spending time on. They actuallly had a decent podcast as well.
Nice knowing you.

For a good power ranking with good explanation and thorough analysis, I'm going to shout out to the The Hockey Guy on You Tube. Good analysis, fair, and largely unbiased. Better than half the "journos" out there for sure:

I actually like their App....never watch the station.

I agree. TheScore app is actually one of the better ones out there IMO with a ton of customization options. To be honest, the highlight package on the TV station are what I typically struggle to find elsewhere - quick and to the point compared to useless analysis that only focus anything substantial on team's like the Edmonton McDavid's and the Maple Leafs.

Edmonton isn't even 10th in the conference. It would be easier to make the argument that they are closer to 10th in the division than they are 10th in the league.
Aren't about 99% of TheScore employees focused on their app and pools stuff? That leaves a skeleton crew to write click bait, or maybe they just outsourced it like so many other internet sites to countries with dubious interpretations of the truth.
It's incredibly bad when a Canadian sports site gets is way worse than quite literally all the major American sports sites where hockey is an afterthought.
