Nick 'Norman Dale' Nurse: We're gonna use Kawhi as a decoy - Kyle Lowry will take the final shot - What's the matter with you guys?!?
Kawhi 'Jimmy Chitwood' Leonard: I'll make it

I mean that was a great ending but that was such a terrible game overall. The #### reffing, the flopping, the poor shooting. Dramatic no doubt, but really bad basketball. The Raps won shooting 38% from the field and 23% from three. The very definition of winning ugly.

Gotta pay Leonard whatever it takes to keep him north of the border. Give him the max, and whatever sponsorship deals necessary to make it happen. I saw Jim Treliving in the crowd, him and Drake should Leonard a piece of their businesses.

Kawhi Leonard is just machine. As a Raptors fan I’ve never seen anyone just decide to take over a playoff series and do it. This one year is worth every year of Derozan’s contract we gave up.

Oh yeah, the refs wrote that script, Kawhi pushed them out of the writers room and wrote the last line.

Also big ups to Ibaka, he delivered some big shots and big boards. Kawhi was amazing but without Ibaka's contribution that game probably goes the other way.

Leonard will never be the top of the endorsement game in the US. He could be the face of the NBA in Canada and take in the endorsements without even having to say anything.

I haven't followed the NBA in years but wow, what a finish! I'm definitely happy for all the fans who stuck with the Raps for all these years.
I'm also happy I won't have to hear the Aussie sports media pumping Simmons' tires for a while. He must be the most over hyped Aussie athlete ever.

It’s amazing how well you can hear all 4 bounces off the rim with everyone in the crowd holding their breath.

The Raptors were always going to offer Kawhi the max they're allowed, that was never in question.

Is there a reason the Toronto media keeps asking guys who would have been 3-4 years old and from another country if they remembered Carter missing that shot or where when he missed it? I mean Jesus ####ing Christ.

For the Raps to somehow keep Kawhi (I don’t think they will) they need for three things to happen:
1) Give him their word they will remains competitive and that they will let him leave at any point if he wants to
2) Guarantee load management each year and sell him on the fact the East is a joke to make the playoffs so he just needs to be ready when they start
3) Convince him they can sign someone this summer to help him out like Butler.

Yep Ibaka and Lowry contributed in a big way.

Yeah, really true. I'm trying to go back to the last time I was this excited about sports moment. I think the Saprykin OT goal in 2004 was the last moment that was this perfect. Couldn't be more elated right now.

Stajan’s goal against Vancouver, Edwin’s walkoff against the Orioles, or Bautista’s bomb are the only tomes I’ve been as excited as that.
