Well, some of them do. But that's Florida for you.
I'm not sure if people are of the view that he's not smart. The prevailing narrative is that he is demonstrably awful.

I listened to Ron DeSantis on Piers Morgan's podcast and I don't see the 'no charisma' criticism. Things I learned about him.
He met his future wife on a driving range.
His wife just survived cancer.
He played in the Little League World Series
He enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Yale/Harvard and after 9/11 and then became their legal advisor.
I mean there are a thousand major bad reasons not to support him and he's really scary but I don't think lack of charisma is one of them. Using no charisma would be looking past the bad stuff. Can't see the forest for the trees. He has a normal guy personality and scarily Floridians love him.
Have you heard about the Thai food stuff yet?

America will never elect a guy that's 5'9" in lifted heels.
That's his charisma suck, he needs to have the Tom Cruise treatment.

Well that's a stretch. He went to Harvard in fall of 2002, so not really a result of 9-11. Then he was in the Navy as of 2005 (after a year of teaching high school) as a JAG lawyer, and he worked for various units and departments. I mean, I guess he was a legal advisor to the extent all lawyers are legal advisors. His job included running urine tests and apparently coordinating the force feeding of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. But he wasn't "legal advisor to the Navy". His highest role was advisor to a SEAL team leader in Iraq and he got one promotion during his entire tenure there (He got another promotion in the reserves just before he was inaugurated as governor).

I guess that works in his favor? He was just following orders and didn't make the decision to force feed prisoners? He addresses this in the interview.

all those things have nothing to do with him having the charisma of a piece of bread. Plus I'm sure you couldn't even ask the guy about the weather without him using the word "woke" three times per sentence.

“Just following orders”? That sounds familiar.

I'd love nothing more than to see Trump end up behind bars, but I'm still doubting whether or not he'll ever see the inside of a jail cell. I'm betting he'll find some way to leave the country and disappear before that ever happens.
Looks like the maximum for all 7 counts combined is 100 years behind bars, which obviously won't happen. Anyone else and they'd serve some time....he should too.
