My face is a bum!

I'm supposed to fly home from London, UK on June 1st. Not super excited about trying to piece something together to get home while traveling with little kids.

If BA and AC fill up you can also look at KLM, hop to Amsterdam and connect on their flight to YYC. Or AC through Frankfurt.

There isn’t really a deadline for signing an agreement but they would be legally allowed to go on strike 72 hours after serving strike notice. I think the 19th is the earliest they are allowed to serve strike notice so you may want to consider other options if you think they’ll end up doing so. A lot can change between now and then though.
Edit: my memory sucks, the 16th is the earliest they can serve notice and the 19th is the earliest they can walk off the job.

All of these options are likely to cost an ass ton more than we paid. Also hopping through AMS or FRA will make for a longgg trip compared to what we were planning on.

There is the commitment there will be no job action over the May long weekend, and there is unlikely to be anything in the near term.

Does anybody know the exact time on the 19th that job action would be announced if that's where this ends up?
Most alternative flights have a 24hr cancellation period, if at all.

It would be 72 hours after they give notice so the exact time wouldn’t be known until they actually serve the notice. If I had to guess I’d say it would be either at midnight or early in the morning.

Do the flight attendants have to wear a minimum 10 pieces of flair?

Anybody know what the status is on this strike? I thought for sure I'd wake up to a strike notice.

Crisis averted?
WJ and pilots agree to mediation and if necessary arbitration.

"Global News asked if the suspension had anything to do with Calgary-based WestJet now flying to London, but BA did not answer that question."
I love Global News aviation articles.

But what's with the LIES?
Rotating closures for line painting in P2, yet they are very clearly NOT doing line painting. The structure is only a year old, plus it's been shutdown for months at a time.
North elevators still shutdown due to "water main break". How long has it been? 6 months? Clearly something else.
Then a random sign on the pedway apologizing for the inconvenience due to replacing light fixtures. The dang airport is a year old! What needs replacing.

The PM was in town on Friday to announce Federal funding for the completion of Airport Trail between 36th and 60th Streets. When open (in 2022), this will connect Stoney Trail NE to the Airport and through to Deerfoot Trail.
