The rollout happened today. And the pause feature works after viewing a channel for a few minutes

Agree - I wish I could turn it off.

There is another "glitch" as well in the new upgrade, when you are watching a non-HD channel, using the Stretch aspect ratio inside the system and then push the Guide button, the picture in the background un-stretches until the guide is closed - it didn't do this in the previous version.

So I go on the Telus website to see if Optik is available in High River. I enter my address in the online utility and it doesn't come up properly so I do the online chat. Online chat rep asks if I tried the online utility and I say yes, he says ok I will check. 5 mins later he comes back and says the address isn't properly registered on the utility and thats all he can use to check for me and I have to call customer service. Not great business.

Yeah, I went and checked myself. I'm in Edmonton and according to the utility my address doesn't exist. Um, the house was built in 1964. But whatever. No, their utility is not great at all and made me simply just say "Meh...I'll stay with Shaw".

Just want to make sure people are aware of privacy concerns with requesting/sending personal information, while it's nice people help each other out, also be aware that sending personal information to anonymous people has risks, the moderators haven't vetted or confirmed anyone's identity.

There is no TELUS TV in High River.

TELUS employees are held to a high code of ethics. We have access to a lot of customers info and are not allowed to share this info outside of the company. Non compliance to this will result in termination of employment.

Just thought I woud throw that out there.

Interesting that Shaw didn't call my bluff when getting the deal using Telus as an option.

Oh for sure, I meant more that I haven't verified that you or anyone else is an actual Telus employee, just so people know that when they're sending personal info via PM it's not necessarily the same as giving the info to Telus after calling their phone or sending an email directly to them.

Not trying to say anything negative about anyone's specific trustworthiness, just a general thing that we don't know true identities.

However, acting on this forum, I doubt you are acting as a representative of the company (although pimping Telus TV on CalgaryPuck would be an awesome thing to get paid for), nor can anyone confirm that you could possibly be a representative of the company.

You raise a good point here. I could offer to verify my employment via an email from my corporate account.
