Apparently Flames are going to sell it in their store, with proceeds going to a charity of his choice.

I don't know the full story, but as near as I can tell just from pictures, he was screwing around and drew that on a pad and then signed it and took a picture with it as a joke. Then I guess someone made it into a t-shirt for him, which the Flames posted on Twitter... then people started asking about where they could buy it, which led the Flames' merch store's Twitter account to post that they were going to get some made and sell them with $$$ going to his favourite charity.

Then someone else had an idea that they should get everyone on the final roster to do the same thing as a fun charity thing that the fans can buy/collect/etc. I think it's an awesome idea. Like, the front can have the player's signed doodle of the Flaming C, and the back can have their handwritten name/number (that's just me expanding on the idea, not saying it's actually happening).

He was at the NHL media tour in Toronto last week and one of the things they had the players do was draw their team's logo in a certain time limit (I don't remember if it was 30 seconds or a minute). A lot of teams posted their player's version. Some were pretty good and some were downright awful.

Mangiapane hit the sweet spot between too good and too bad.

I notice the Flames don’t have the Scotiabank on their helmets this year, every other team I’ve noticed still has the ads on the helmet. Still looking for a sponsor, or an ownership decision to not do the ads?
