I was hoping for more drastic changes in the off-season, but bringing in a bunch of big tough role players who will sacrifice themselves 100% should inspire our underachieving top 6 to follow suit. The training camp interviews thus far have me feeling the vibe is loose because these journeymen role guys know how hard it needs to be to compete but are pleasant teammates in the grind.
I’m worried about the defense, but intimidation is a very real X factor and they’ll have it.
I like these D pairings better as there is technically a "defensive" minded Dman on each pairing now.
Most of the offense from the D will have to come from Hanifin, Andersson and Valimaki, hopefully pairing each up with a supposedly defense first guy will help them to loosen the reigns a bit.

I liked Sutter's comment about the first 3 exhibition games being for prospects to make the team, or for bubble guys to make an impact. Expect to see a lot more prospects in these games. Then they would be working on getting the pairs/lines and special teams polished.

Random question: did we ever have PTOs during the first Darryl Sutter era from 2002 to 2010? I'm surprised there are no PTOs this year. But then again, it's probably for the better. That way, the team literally learns to win together from the get go, as in Day 1 of the Training Camp.

I've heavily been on record to switching alliances ( if no majour changes to plave)because Seattle got a team due to my geographic location and it would only take a fraction of time to enjoy a game in person.
But what the ew guys and current members are buying what sutters selling its giving me a renewed hope. Yes ita all common propaganda but ther does seem to be aajoir cy in the culture. The guys brought In are all minor role peices but they are all from organizations that have recent proven track records and / or have won cups . Having peices lower inlinea that have that grind and tenacity may kick this core back into the potential they had. I'm hopeful as the new peices talk endlessly on being apart of tip teams we will see will. Hasn't been mentioned where I have seen things but Zadorov throwing shade at Francis was awesome.
