True. It's also possible for the people who harp on this issue to be overstating it. The Flames seem to be doing just fine attracting free agents and retaining players.

I think Ritchie would be a great signing - and aligns with what the team seems to be trying to do this off-season.
But he's got some skill and finish from the dirty areas. Seemed to find more of his game last season. Depending on price I'm in.

B.Ritchie
N.Ritchie

We goin' full bash bros.

If he does sign here, the roster takes a very big boy hockey theme over last year's roster. We may not score a bunch but yer gonna bleed if you score on us.

I think Tkachuk is going to have a ton of fun, and with that also a career year.

Any legs to that Lucic for Zucker rumor? Feels like the Flames are adding a bit too much beef to the wings and might want a touch more skill.

Funny thing is, if they sign Nick Ritchie it might just be what pushes Brett Ritchie out of the starting line up. It'd be either him or Lewis.

I find once people come here they often don’t want to leave. It’s less likely players want to be here if they never have lived here but nothing is 100 percent so there are still lots of players who are ok to come here.

If Vegas is the top destination or the rangers there could be 20 percent of players that don’t even have them too 15 on their list.

Brett in that role is perfect. He seemed to play well when he needed to earn his spot in the lineup, if he's motivated and has to play well every night to stay in the lineup, we can get the most out of him

What did Sutter used to say about CGY? 'We might not win but the other team is going to know they played us.' Something to that effect.

Yup. Best thing would be an elite C or RW, obviously.

But what they have been able to do is not only make the team bigger, faster and harder to play against (all good, and all needed), but most of all they seem to have re-established an identity.

If we can't be the most talented team in the NHL, then please give us the hardest working, hardest to play against. Give us 2004. Give us an identity that we can see and understand and get behind.

They'll sign Ritchie after getting Eichel, likely to replace Dube or whoever gets traded.

Did he delete the tweet? I can’t seem to find anything with Nick Ritchie and Calgary on Twitter (not that I would ever doubt you)

Ritchie, Ritchie, Tkachuk, Lucic, Pitlick, Lewis, Zadorov, Tanev, and Andersson? That is a major start to a Sutter team.

This X 1000. We haven’t had a discernible identity in years, and it makes watching them lose very frustrating.
