Maybe we somehow ended up with Byfield and Kopitar?

If flames trade Johnny and turn that into Byfield and Kopitar, I will get a full back tattoo of Tre while eating a pube sandwich .

Remember when the Flames built their championship team with a bunch of former-Blues?
This is like the exact opposite of that...

What more does someone need to see from Neal?
You're short on pylons and need him to boost confidence of actual players?

Threaten the players to play harder or else they’ll have to be team mates with him.

I’d like to see him get absolutely lit up open ice, personally.

I think we assume that players fill out their NTC's based on having some intelligence.
Why wouldn't you fill out in such a way that gives you 100% control of where you might go midseason?
It's not specifically to handcuff your team, it's to benefit yourself.
Plus, if you do want to get an outrageous offer from Calgary, why not put yourself in the situation where you control whether you are traded or not. Gives Calgary lots of incentive to make him an offer he can't refuse.
Lots of players don't like getting uprooted midseason. At least this way, he would say where he could go specifically.

I think what is most important in a contract year is getting traded somewhere where your value might tank. Playing for a few months anywhere is no big deal, but being stuffed down a line up or playing with no bodies would be the worst part.

All the more reason to have 100% control of where you might go.

Even the flamiest of CP flamers didn’t come up with that roadkill of an offer. Let me guess the firsts are unprotected?

Heard that.
He also said Buffaloes ask was 5 first round picks. I hadn’t heard that before. What a hack this guy is. Just embarrassing himself.

Didn’t some other Calgary insider said the ask from Buffalo to Calgary was enormously high and he wouldn’t pay it if he was GM?
