There is no reason Springer should be leadoff right now. I understand you want to get him out of the funk, but speak to him in private and let him know they have confidence but they need the highest probability at the top of the lineup. It's just a communication problem.

Another first batter walk. What can go wrong?

An 0-2 meatball down the middle and the Twins are threatening.
Now Gurriel is down after Grichuk steps on his hand.
This is an ugly game for the Jays no matter how you look at it. Even though the score is 2-2(for now)

This game sums up everything I hate about this team
1. Bullpen being ####
2. Grichuk being a detriment to the team
3. Jansen being useless
All it is missing is a Montoyo bad move. Guess I can't have all 4 tonight...

Game. Set. And Match.
Merryweather has been beyond awful since returning.
This team is fighting it right now. Did they peak too early?

Merryweather served up a home run derby pitch. Yikes.

Help, save, whatever.

You guys are way too negative. Even if they lose this game they're one game back of the WC spot.

It's gonna come down to the Yankees series. As long as we don't lose 3 of 4 to the Twins. Sucks losing though

Top of order coming up , down 4, totally makes sense to send the runner and have him out by 5 feet
What a brain dead game

It would mean more if team payrolls weren't so vastly different. There's some special team builds, but more often than not those deep rotations, good bullpens and strong benches are $190-$250mil rosters vs waaaaaaaaaayyyyy less than that for the majority of the league.
I appreciate well built teams, I don't really have an appreciation for money mostly being the driving force behind strength.

Fair. I just like the atmosphere of longer playoffs, as minor as that may be. While money is the driving force, more excitement is the customer experience, and I enjoy it as a sports enthusiast (though most would never base it based on my comments in this thread lately )

First series loss in a long time against the Rays and now their first back to back loss in a while.
They weren't going to stay white hot forever but damn it's gonna suck if they go in the tank now after getting all our hopes up.
