I was actually more concerned something might happen to Dog; as opposed to worrying about anybody else.

This show is much more tolerable as a binge.

Whoever they have writing "pouty Judith" needs to go find a new job. Those scenes were unbearable.

Honestly....it was such a huge gap in the season that I've forgotten where I left off and have not been bothered to figure it out and keep going.
I've decided that I'm just going to wait until its all over and then figure it out.
My wife and I used to love watching it together on Sunday nights but she pulled the 'chute on it a long time ago.

I agree. I binged the entire show and this is my first time watching on a weekly basis.
I can see why so many people bailed.

That actually surprises me.

That's because they treated it like an actual horror show and not a tedious investigation into the innate nature of human beings when put in extreme circumstances.
I like both parts of the show, but they left behind the horror and creep factors a long time ago, to the show's detriment. If they revive that even a little, the energy of the show might come back a little.
No coincidence it was directed by Greg Nicotero.

Is the Rick Grimes movie still happening? They released that teaser a little while ago, but it's been radio silence ever since. Last I heard, they hadn't even started filming yet. By the time it eventually comes out (sometime in 2022 maybe?), I doubt anyone will give a crap.

It's back, I think 4 episodes left.
I watched on Sunday, it sucked. The whole Jeep death scene was ####.
But I want to see this out. I started on Episode 1 and want to see where it all ends.

I'm excited to be finally done with this show. It's close to the end so I'm going to see it through but I don't enjoy it. It's hate watching.
I saw they were previewing 3 new shows with the TWD characters
- One with Rick and Michone
- One with Negan and Maggie
- One with Darryl, in Europe?!?!
Negan is the best thing about the show so I'm tempted to watch that one. But I should probably just do a clean break. I'm also curious how they explain Darryl ending up in Europe.

Zombies with European accents? Oh là là!
But ya, I don't really want to commit to anything new. I really thought the writers would have some sort of evolution of the threat as the series went on, but nope. Same walkers as episode 1.

I quit watching in season 7 I think. Have they made any attempt to explain what caused the zombies?

I actually haven’t minded the last season or so. The Negan storyline has been really good

He's the only character worth watching. I'll give the Negan/Maggie series a chance just because I like the character so much, and because Jeffrey Dean Morgan is awesome.
I'm done with the rest of it though. I have zero interest in any of those other spin-offs.
