I'd hit Thanks but I'm still on lockdown after the hiring thread
Big game tonight. He might not be here but its the first game of Darryl Sutter era 2.0. Gotta wonder if he's given early notes to the coaching staff for things to try tonight
Go Flames Go!

Curious what the lines will look like once Darryl is actually behind the bench. I suspect that tonight there will not be any lineup changes but I am curious as to what happens over the next couple weeks. Hoping for a win tonight, could really drag ourselves back into the 3rd and 4th place hunt with a victory.
I imagine he's going to havd access to the staff on the bench, and will be able to make adjustments etc. Wouldn't be hard to get him tapped into the in-house feed where he can watch the whole game from one of the overheads or something.
I mean, he's not suspended, so he should still be able to quasi-coach.
In the Flame's head office, a bitter and angry Conna McDavid has snuck in and is confronting Darryl Sutter in his office, he's wearing a ratty old Oilers jersey and looks like he hadn't taken a bath in weeks
Connor McDavid: [to Darryl Sutter] It was twenty years ago. You hadn't started coaching the Flame yet. You were just in isolation. Huh! You and your gang of murderers gathered your small ounce of courage to take on the mighty oilers.
[indicates his grubby hockey jersey] CM: ... hmph. Dave Tippet was my coach. A simple man with a simple code: Get the Connor all the individual trophies. He created the game plan for that night to do just that
[laughs] CM : You and your bullies destroyed us! Jessie is still crying over how many times he was rammed into the boards. Ryan Nugent Hopkins was so scared by the violence and the 10-0 score to your team, he fled to the hills and became a Munk named Lin Ye Tang.
Darryl Sutter: I'm sorry. I don't remember any of it. CM: You don't remember? DS: For you, the day Darryl Sutter graced your team, and destroyed and wrecked the Oilers was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Saturday.

The 1st period should be interesting, to see who comes out playing desperate intense hockey.
Flames got embarrassed by the Oilers last time they played and just rehired Darryl.
Oilers got embarrassed 3 games in a row at home against the same team and Mcdavid put up bagels.
This is a tough game to predict, expecting both teams to play hard, Flames at +110 seems like the way to go considering the dynamics leading into the game and the good odds.
The energy of the team tonight so be very high since they got a new sheriff in town, and will be watching before he steps in the office.
The great thing about this, is that the expectation of the team consistently playing flat here and there should be long gone now. At this point, it's completely on the roster.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
