But I mean if you look at the Browns on Monday night it's not like they were playing prevent and let the Ravens march down the field. But when you need only 40 yards in 60 seconds and you're going to get 6-8 plays off, hitting three 13 yard passes is not some impossible mission, especially when the offense is in hurry up. And really more than anything I think when offenses move into the hurry up they become even more difficult to stop. Defenses can't make subs, and the offense is running nothing but short, easy routes, and ignoring long developing plays. Everything is slants, crosses and quick outs. QBs aren't sitting back there waiting for a deep post to develop because you don't need it. At that stage of the game the advantage to the offense is pretty significant. That of course doesn't even factor in PI as a spot foul and the automatic first down penalties.

If McSorley didn't get hurt maybe Lamar stays out, and Cleveland wins the game.

McSorley getting hurt just adds to the "legend" of Lamar coming in to save them, even though we all know he never had cramps, just anal leakage. Lamar was coming in either way, he was done his duty.

It was like Kirk Gibson's HR in 1988.

I've said this before regarding different situations but this is another one where I feel it's true. It's not teams, it coaches (specifically head coaches) that do this and it's all about keeping blame off themselves if things go south. For them (ie for their job security) it makes more sense to do the 'smart' thing or the 'safe' thing. If it doesn't work out hey, what can you do. The defence get's blamed for not preventing or doing their job. But if you play aggressive (or the same way you have been playing all game) and get burned then it's on the coach for making that call.

Mariota time, just to make this game slightly less watchable.

Well that was unexpected by Mariota. Probably the best drive he’s ever put together. Maybe it’s not over yet for the Raiders Postseason hopes.

Lol at Aikman talking about Anthony Lynn going for it on 4th down because of analytics. Lynn might be the most anti-analytics coach in the league.

Herbert's rise from guy who looked most likely to bust before the draft to looking like a superstar is quite something. Oregon did a #### job developing him

I've been keeping an eye on Herbert since he started playing because I picked him up as my #1 QB in fantasy and with the exception of one or two weeks I have been very impressed. I'm a Steelers fan and I actually see a lot of similarity between him and Big Ben.

Hopefully he doesn’t have the same off field similarities.

Anthony Lynn might be a nice guy, but wow is he a terrible game coach.

Even ignoring that going for it was the right play just for the analytics, the Raiders defense sucks and they only stopped you because they got away with a penalty. And you have a crappy kicker. One time Anthony Lynn, show some ####ing heart.
