Default Removing gravel from back alley for personal use

A question for the board. The neighbor who lives behind me in Sundance has taken it upon himself to start loading up on the gravel between our houses for use in his yard. Not really sure what he's doing with it at this point. If he needed a little for a small project, I don't have an issue with it. He's loaded up multiple wheelbarrow fulls so far. Been going for over an hour. I'm sure there's a bylaw against this. It's just gonna kick up dust when traffic goes down here. Should I report this?

I need a tree for my yard. I see there is one in the park over there I like. Can I take it?

Call bylaw, he's stealing from all of us.

Sounds like some kind of crazy caper. Possibly a madcap malefaction.

Trees! Good idea. Hadn't thought of trees.

Anyone need any trees? I've got a few. $250 each. Slightly used.

Record it. Post it on fb. Let the shame take over. No one wants to be a gravel bandit.

I went and talked to him. Told him that this was his last wheelbarrow full or bylaw would be called. Haven't heard anymore shovelling. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.

I just wanted to say thanks for talking to your neighbour and saving us all the cost of a 311 call/bylaw visit.

It seems bylaw is a way for people to avoid talking to their neighbours.

I can't wait for the next CrazyCaper thread where someone lights a bag of #### on fire on his doorstep.

Is it wrong to steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family? Well suppose you've got a large starving family. Is it wrong to steal a wheelbarrow full of bread to feed them? And what if your family don't like bread? They like.... gravel? Now instead of giving them away, you sold them at a price that was practically giving them away. Would that be a crime?

He is an older man, in his 60s. I told him he should know better. He told me to mind my own business in a not so polite manner. That's when I played the bylaw card. He shut down pretty quick and went back into his yard. I don't expect a Christmas card this year.
