If he ends up being bought out I could see teams taking a chance in him on a 1 year deal.

Yeah, so many teams think they are the one team who can change a problem player.

Why would Kane report to the AHL or play anywhere? Isn't that any money he makes will go to the creditors?

For those who are curious, Evander has 3 years (including 21-22) @ 7 million left on his contract.

Same. I was 100% on board with this Kane contract situation being a mega disaster for the Skarks until the bitter end. I wish can had some kind of NMC more than ever.

At some point before the signing a list of pros and cons was made, and the team chose pros. They knew damn well his issues. They should be made to lay in the bed they made.

There’s exemptions in bankruptcy and he still needs to pay living expenses. But in the KHL he may be able to avoid all creditors.

He would flourish under Sutter's guidance and our veteran leadership. Bring him in for half price. Calgary needs a finisher.

I would take him in a heartbeat.

I would seriously question cheering for the Flames if Evander was on this team.

Not saying he can’t do it, but why bring in a player that Sutter needs to turn around? Treliving has made a point this year of bringing in players that already are Sutter style players.

And it’d be pretty arrogant of the Flames to think their veterans are a lot better leaders than the Sharks’ Couture, Burns, Vlasic, etc.

It's all about winning.

If they are winning and Kane is the finisher they need to do it then you do it.

If he can pot the goals that poor old Monohan hasn't been able to, I'm all for it.

Winning will fill the seats and sell jerseys.

I don't think Evander Kane helps you win.

He's a selfish player with too many skeletons in his closet.

Don't think his 20 goals is worth it and we are winning just fine without him.

Yup. Good luck getting into Russian bank accounts as American creditors.

Sometimes I might agree with that sentiment, but I'm sorry, not this time.

Evander Kane has been a toxic nuclear bomb at every NHL stop he has ever made, I see no evidence that any team could change that, and frankly, I also think a large part of the Flames' current success is top-notch team camaraderie and buy-in.

Two things Kane is notoriously crappy at.

It doesnt make sense to me to bring in a Toxic mercenary.

That attitude might be welcome in Russia, I dont think it'll work here.

4th liner Monahan? I'm more concerned about our top line centre who has 2 goals in his last 15 games.

The only way I see a team being interested is if they get a haul to take him on, and then they just scratch or waive him themselves. I can’t see teams interested in actually having him play for them.

LOL. He would likely destroy the good vibes this team has going for it. Seasons like the Flames are having now are few and far in-between for this franchise. Evander Kane has to potential to ruin any team he goes to. He is a shrapnel grenade going off in a china shop. Surely you must be joking, because I can't fathom risking how great this season has been so far for a dozen or so Kane goals and the nonstop clown show that accompanies him.

He should goto the Hawks and play with his brother Patrick.
