Making it sound like that's terrible, she's a fighter Rempel is great one of the best out there representing yyc.

Voted Green in 2019 because I liked the platform the most, assuming the platform is similar will likely do so again because I like Annamie Paul as leader.

Only a Conservative and a Maverick registered in my area so far, between them that's obviously an easy choice but will review individual candidates once there are more formally registered.

O'Toole's strategy of being as boring and beige as possible seems like a good one so far. I admit, It caught me off guard some

His campaign has been surprisingly good. Like you, caught off guard. I was expecting Scheer 2.0

Calgary Confederation
  • Conservative: Len Webber
  • Green: Natalie Odd
  • Liberal: Murray Sigler
  • M-L: Kevan Hunter
  • NDP: Gulshan Akter
  • PPC: Edward Gao

How the hell is a 73 year-old man the best the Liberals could come up with?

Can't vote Liberal. They are nearly as bad in terms of policy as the NDP and their arrogance and incompetence is staggering. They have caused so much division and damage to this country, it is almost unforgivable.

CPC - probably fall closest to my core values although but they have also been a huge disappointment, in articular during the Harper years - such a wasted opportunity.

There really is no party that promises to deliver on things most important to me so in many ways none of them represent me. I may do what I have done in the past and vote for an independent if there is one. Mostly as a protest to say nobody deserves to win from the main parties. If it were a close race then it would be CPC to keep out the Liberals
It will be close - help make it so

I'm so, so sorry. I was super happy when the boundaries changed, and I ended up with Len Webber. Rempel is embarrassing.

I've traditionally voted Conservative, but this election I'm voting either Liberal or NDP. My riding is safe blue like most in Calgary so it's not really going to make a difference. But I've been so disappointed and angered by how Conservative politicians have been acting lately, I want to send a message for them to not be comfortable and do better ahead of the municipal and provincial elections

As of right now my riding has candidates from the CPC, PPC, Maverick and Green Parties. Guess I'm writing my own name on the ballot.

It's kind of wild that I have to vote for 3 people this year and none of them are for what I really care about, which is the party running this province into the dirt.

Fed - George Chahal (like the guy, not enamored with the Fed Libs at all but he's the best of bad options)
Ward 3 - Nate Pike (if he gets his ground game going), Jasmine Mian (backup)
Mayor - Jyoti Gondek (was solid in her 1 term as Councilor for Ward 3, far and away the best candidate in the field for mayor)

What has she done that has been effective? When she was in government, she did basically zero. Now that she's in opposition she basically grandstands and also accomplishes nothing.

I would understand why people like her if she brought out some good ideas or championed some cause that of significance, but there's nothing there. She basically just slams Trudeau 24/7, and I guess that is enough for some people, but it doesn't offer anything of value IMO.

Still doesn't make her a clown, If she was in Trudeau's current government she would be a high ranking minister, guaranteed. Rempel is still relatively young, has won 3 elections and sits on various committees. So she's very effective actually.

There are a lot of clowns in Trudeau's cabinet too. Doesn't change anything.

Effective at getting FaceTime in the media, not so effective at governance. Unless you have some good examples I've missed.

Her role in QP is to provide "gotchya Libs" quotes for the base. In that, she is definitely effective.
