I'm a bit nervous about free agency this year. The Texans are desperate to improve on the Oline and the secondary, and desparate is not a good word to be going into FA. I hope we are smart.

The Broncos could possibly make this worse by drafting Allen at 5. Let’s see how Elway screws this up.

Drew gives NO a big break.....unless he is retiring after one season then its market value.

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have agreed to a new two-year deal worth $50 million, a source confirmed to ESPN, keeping the future Hall of Famer off the free-agent market as expected.

The deal includes $27 million guaranteed. The news was first reported by NFL Network.

Former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata intends to sign a one-year deal with Philadelphia Eagles, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen.
If he can stay healthy, he may have one more real good season in him. Really nice depth deal for the Eagles.

Just absurd and hope it will come back to haunt that useless franchise in the ass.

Could be the Packer fan in me and some bias, but I think the Vikings are making a big mistake with Cousins.

Never seen Cousins as a top end QB, outside of Fantasy that is, and with the contracts they have coming up on D in the next 2 seasons you're taking a pretty huge gamble here. Not sure if Cousins is worth that gamble.

Chicago filling holes early in FA. The have the dollars but hate having to depend on free agents.

Former Philadelphia Eagles tight end Trey Burton intends to sign a four-year deal with the Chicago Bears, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

NFL Network first reported the deal.
A guy I really thought GB would go after but a 4 year deal wasnt ever a likely talking point for their new GM.

I suspect they set their sights on Jimmy Graham now.The Bears will also add former Dolphins kicker Cody Parkey, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Also: The Bears will also add former Dolphins kicker Cody Parkey, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Edit 2: Just saw this tweet from beat writer Demovsky

Quote:
The Packers have shown interest in pending free agent TE Ed Dickson, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson. This comes after reports that they planned to talk to TE Jimmy Graham. Dickson had 30 catches for 437 yards and one touchdown for the Panthers last season. He is coming off a three-year, $6.8 million deal. He sounds more like a No. 2 tight end than a starter.

Albert Wilson looks to be getting 8 million a year from Miami. Good year to be a free agent.

Trying to confirm the report from @DanHellie that Danny Amendola is signing with Miami. Amendola is in the Bahamas right now ... until we hear otherwise, I'd presume Hellie got it right.

Too bad if true. Danny made big catches in big games.

Everything wrong with football right here.

If Sam Bradford sees the entirety of his $20 million contract, he will have earned $134,084,404 over his career. 34 career wins since he entered the league in 2010, and never more than 7 wins in a season.

$20 million guaranteed to a guy that's got 1300 career yards in four seasons. Madness but this was coming as there was a record amount of cap space available throughout the league and not a great free agent crop so lots of average players are going to get elite or top level money. I'm still shaking my head that a 600 yard receiver like Watkins just got $16 million a season as that's QB or DE money.

It's just so dumb though. It screws them (teams) over in the long term since the costs for a player will keep getting inflated. The price tag for a player doesn't necessarily fit their value. It seems now you're playing for expected snaps the player will have, rather than the actual talent they can provide.

Sam Bradford is the luckiest mother####er in NFL history. Goes #1 in the last pre-rookie cap draft, so makes $80 million off that (Cam, the first #1 in the rookie cap era, made $22 million). Then earns roughly another $50 million the past couple years purely on his potential when not hurt (i.e. never). Good for him though. I honestly wanna see a cap free NFL now. No doubt Aaron Rodgers is making at least $100 million a season.
