Thumbs down Maybe Calgary is better off without the Flames..

i know i'll going to be roasted for this....let me make my point..

i think the city government made a huge mistake in funding the flames arena...

i think the city government should've told the flames, you build your arena...we wont fit the bill...then the flames could've pick their belongings and move to a more lucrative and attractive US market such as houston, which satisfies bettman's pro-american agenda......

also another problem is that calgary is in the same boat as winnipeg, ottawa, edmonton, and vancouver as canadian cities that are not attractive...

free agents don't want to sign here....calgary is not a "sexy" city compared to tampa bay, colorado..etc..and if players do play for calgary, they act like they don't want to be here...its reflected in their poor play on the ice for the last couple of years......

lets look at johnny gaudreau...we all know that he does not want to be here....you can see in his body language on the ice....it might be the greatest thing in the world for the flames is to snuff out gaudreau's misery by trading him...playing in calgary is pulling him down...

coming back to my point....i think people in calgary invest too much time investing in this team...they will never win a cup; they will never repeat the level of success like they did in the 1980s...

i think the mental health of calgary fans could be improved if flames weren't in calgary..

thoughts..

Lock this garbage up.

If you are going to make this argument use some strong points. This is a weak argument designed to troll

Its threads like this, that make me think that mods should have to approve a thread before it's posted.

I hate that my tax payer money goes towards further enriching already rich owners at the threat of moving a team to another city.

But it's better than not that the Flames will stay. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

There is certainly something in this thread that Calgary is better off not having....but it ain't the Flames.

With all due respect to your personal opinion, your thoughts could easily have been placed within a handful of the current top threads (Whats wrong with Gaudreau, Unpopular Opinions, etc).
It seems like you created this thread to try and draw more eyes to what should otherwise be a post in an already existing thread, seeking attention.
