I'm predicting another bad loss at home without the captain.
Prove me wrong, Flames. Prove me wrong.

This team has been Jekyll and Hyde all year. Mr Hyde has totally outstayed his welcome recently and can F right off.

If we lose, it'll just add to the dumpster fire.
If we win, we're delaying the inevitable dumpster fire that this season is.
So really, let's just forfeit?

Is Mr. Hyde the bad one?
I mean, in this analogy it's honestly hard to say. As I recall from the story Dr. Jekyll was meek, unassuming and gentle while Mr. Hyde was a rapacious and aggressive criminal. It feels like we have seen a lot more of the meek and mild Flames as of late.
More ravenous and unrelenting Mr. Hyde, please.

I’d accept the first period Flames from last game, just for longer.

The last time Gio was out for an extended period the rest of the lineup stepped up. That's really all we can hope for at this point.

This is as close to a playoff game for the Flames since last year's . This is the biggest pressure game in Rittich's NHL career.

Hard to get excited about this one. Think I'll just let my wife force me to watch "Love Island" episodes instead. These are dark days.

Full apathy at this point for me. I even turned off notifications for the Flames on my Score App. Take that!
Some will say "we're right in the thick of a playoff race, how can you just disengage?!" To me, there's a difference between a team that's up and coming in the WC spot (see Flames 03/04 in) vs today's Flames, who are just floundering. Just enough talent to maybe squeak into playoffs, but will be a walkover for our first round opponent.
This core does not have what it takes to win a cup, which is what the ultimate goal is. I would much rather tear this team down to work on getting a new core that hopefully does have what it takes. We tried with this one, but it didn't work. Time to move on.
The give-a-sh*!-meter is far too low for the guys we've got far too much invested into. 4 SOG in the third period of a home game when down by a goal vs a bottom feeder that was missing multiple key players, while we're fighting for our playoff lives? You've got to be kidding me. That's the type of reminder I need to re-instill the fact that this group does not have the will to win. Oh, and the fact that we have 15 regulation wins in over 50 games.
I truly hope ownership and management make the right decision by selling off our assets to retool, as opposed to riding this out with these guys because we're squeaking into the playoffs, which increases team revenue.

Looking forward to tonight as I’m going to have a good dinner, pour myself a nice drink, fire up the TV and turn on my XBOX and just check in on the game from time to time.
If I watch the game in entirety Fames lose.
I’m doing my part, let’s hope the Flames do theirs.

Tonight is my night to drive the kids to soccer practice, and this may bode well for the Flames, as when I am on carpool duty, watching the game at the bar, the Flames very often win.
I sure hope they do so tonight because winning is a hell of a lot more fun than losing. The constant melodrama amid this two-game slide and an overall disappointing season is nearly insufferable.

I'll be in Nashville in April during round one and want Predator Playoff Hockey over In-Law Family Reunion. Go Predators.
