They are what we thought they were?

Mediocre, heartless and generally listless most of the time. The effing Sharks? We lost to the Sharks? Wow....that just says everything.

I still have ZERO idea why the line shuffling happened... They dominated in the first period. Why change it up? I am baffled.

Stick a fork in it....Too many holes in this leaky boat especially with Gio down. looking forward to a sell off soon and maybe a chance at a lottery win.

A rebuild is now mandatory, if Tre doesn’t see this then he is not a good GM

Typical post-All-Star Break Flames hockey.

Except this year it looks the same as pre-All-Star Break Flames hockey.

Blow it up. This core will never win. Thanks for the memorable 40th season...

Default Yep, we’re as soft as toilet paper. Flames lose to bottom feeding Sharks 3-1.

Earlier I said if this team kept playing like this, that they’d be hard to play against. Wanted to say that they’d win, but thank goodness I knew better.

This team simply can’t finish and it’s 100% on Treliving and his inept pro scouting team. Since his arrival as the GM of this team, he’s wondered most off seasons whether his team can score enough and it’s pretty clear that it’s a resounding NO.

He loves looking for guys who work hard or can garner a high volume of shots, but they can’t finish. Just look at one his big targets in Hamonic tonight, has a chance to tie it up, wide open, so much net to shoot at, hits Dell’s shoulder. Then the Sharks score shortly after and it’s game over.

Then when his braintrust finally go out of their comfort zone, they still screw it up with albatross signings like James Neal or Troy Brouwer. They target wrong players and that’s why this team is mediocre at best. The best finishers on this team are mostly drafted and the screw ups are mostly on him and his team of advisors.

This team has dropped recent contests to Montreal, Ottawa, got shelled at home by the Oilers and now San Jose. Not good enough and not nearly enough care.

Well that sucked.

Some people say you can't blame the coach because the team has been through too many coaches. Which I guess means they are all good coaches or something, IDK.

Can't blame the GM because of rinse and repeat or something. I guess he is executing some brilliant strategy for team building that we haven't seen before and just need to let it play out for another several years.

We can blame the players, especially Gaudreau, well because it's pretty clear they are playing horribly. So there's that I guess.

I actually think a quality NHL coach who has a track record of success would get this team into the playoffs and maybe even win a round or two. And wouldn't cost a single draft pick.

Lol this is the over-rated pizza boy GM's team, he's been here long enough...he is NOT good, when are people gonna realize this.

In fact, the Calgary Flames are no good.

If Tre is still given time to build this team the he better get on his horse and do a major shakeup with this core. Six years and several coaches later that's about the only thing left to do.

My current happy place is imagining waking up to about 6 NHL alerts of Flames selling off assets.

Last year to this year is bizarro world. Who knew we’d miss Hathaway so much?
