I'd be more than thrilled if Bennett at this point ever put up the numbers Monahan did in his second season. Bennett was rushed and looks completely lost on the the ice, he's not an athletic freak where he doesn't need hockey IQ, he gets pushed off the puck constantly and doesn't seem to have the puck skills to ever get around his man. Something has gone sour in his development and he really needs a change to get it back on track. 0 pts in 7 games is awful. Just a shame we don't have a big center with scoring and playmaking ability in the system... oh #### wait a second

All four of those were powerplay goals with him just sitting in the slot. Not that they don't all count the same, but that really is what Monahan is. A finisher. A complimentary player. We need an elite #1C if we ever want to think about winning the cup.

Nope. Why not wait longer? Make sure we know for sure for sure some players just don't have it. No reason to bring a player I. While there's still too many questions u answered this early.

It's a damned bloody shame Janko isn't playing for the Flames right now.
But I suspect this is going to change soon. Looks like Ferland is in the process of being injured or playing himself off of the team.
And the organizational Stubbornness regarding Bennett at center is coming to a boil as well.

What's most irritating is it was pretty unanimously acknowledged by fans, media, and the team that he played above most of the team including the regulars over camp, yet is sent packing.
Sort of defeats the purpose of a training camp, doesn't it? They finally get that standout they were hoping for and yet a GM as smart and capable at Treliving cant find a way to shuffle guys (some of them barely useful) to make one spot on his roster.
Pretty bad. The other kids probably look and see that well if Jankowski can't make it the way he's playing right now, what the hell kind of chance do I have?
Sets a poor example.

We all know the good of Treliving but this situation makes him look extremely poor right now, he can no longer stand in front of this teams propects and tell them to "earn" a spot on this team.
Ffs just waive Hamilton or Lazar,(nobody will claim either) Call up Janko and stop this disaster called ...Bennett playing center
