2) In Game 2 - A very suspect call against Hamilton leads to the game winning goal. Hamilton was interfered with twice on that shift, and somehow he was called on a penalty!
3) In Game 3 - in the third period the refs put away their whistles. Hmmm...the whistles go away when the flames are up and the Ducks are trying to claw their way back in dirty fashion. I counted 6 blatant infractions by the ducks in one shift.
4) Two suspect goal calls in three games - one in Game 2 and one in Game 3.
Discussion question: Are flames fans are just seeing what they want to see (conspiracy)? Or, do the refs/league actually have it in for the flames this season?
It's not Flames fans. It's CP. No one in the office is blaming the teams misfortunes on the refs, my friends and family are not blaming every loss on the refs.
No team is ever down 3-0 in a series cause of the refs. No team ever lets a team score 4 unanswered goals to beat them in a must win game at home cause of the refs.
If this were any other fan base acting like this we'd be laughing at them.
Sure there have been questionable calls and two sketchy goals but that sh*t happens. Good teams figure it out and don't put themselves in a position to let the refs dictate the outcome.

Why the weak goalie interference call (IMO) on Lindholm then?
When people are looking to correlate things like this they tend to ignore evidence that doesn't support it.

If the conspiracy is that someone has plotted against us to ensure we always have #### goaltenders that let in weak goals in most games that count, i'm on board with that. If it's about the refs, that's non-existent.

1. Calgarypuck = Flames fans
2. Your antecdotal evidence means nothing
This stupid conspiracy theory has been discussed in the media and all over the interwebs this season. Yet you are choosing to label this community as the only tinfoil perpetuators? Weak.

So, the "evidence" has been piling up all season long:
1) The Wideman effect all season long - documented and statistically proven.

Would be great to see a poll on this question...
That's not evidence. That's you cherry picking things that happened against the Flames.
I'm sure the Ducks haven't been too happy about certain calls and I'm certain they weren't happy about zero CGY penalties last night.

Its just stupid plays from all the players and everyone on the bench including Glen. Everyone and their dog was not comfortable in that third. If I was glen I would have called a timeout after that 4-3 goal. Yes the refs open wounds for us but our play just keeps adding salt in them.

He kind of did - there was about a 5 minute video review after that goal. No need to call another timeout there.

There's no conspiracy... just absolute negligence and utter inconsistency.
In this series in the last two games we've had a goal not counted that clearly should have, and one that was blatantly knocked in with a high stick.
I don't think in either case the goal was to screw us specifically... it was just another example in a long line of the NHL's inability to get calls correct.
I've come to expect there's going to be zero consistency with regards to what constitutes a penalty and when they will and won't be called. But the goal calls / non calls are an absolute joke.
