Eric Jamieson has jumped on my prospect to follow rankings. Racking up even strength goals. Going the NCAA route next year to a top notch U of Denver program. 6’3”. Back to back 30+ seasons (albeit on good teams). There’s a lot to like here for a 6th round pick.

Parekh already has 3 assists today - equaling his point total last year in 10 less games.
Also has 6 PIMs - game has another period too for him to get that 30th goal.

Just insane offensive output - I know the Spirit are stacked but what an incredible season.

He had a bit of a slow start to the season as well which makes it even more impressive.

Not sure exactly what is going on with Mews, but his time in Sudbury has been a disaster. Since the trade, the team has fallen in the standings, and Mews has seen his stats fall off. He’s normally considered to be a good defensive player, but I’m not sure what’s really going on.

A few months ago, someone posted an article where rival GM’s were talking about each team’s 2024 Draft, and one of them made the comment that we took a few players with attitude problems- I have to wonder if Mews was one of those players- it would explain why he fell.

Why did Sudbury even trade for Mews?

They're like a .500 team and he's rumored to be going NCAA next year.

Anyways, his pace has fallen off since the trade but the good news is his pre trade pace was insane and even though it's fallen off he's still above a point per game with the wolves.

Hopefully he goes to the NCAA for a year and then signs and turns pro. Good chance we see him with team canada at the WjC next year too.

He won’t be on the WJ team next year IMO

You never know what is going on behind the scenes on junior teams. Take the worst rub nhl franchise (oilers) and times that by ten with dubious owners mostly. The books I could write.

Looks like Battaglia is called Bates by the team which totally makes sense. If you last name is Zalapski, you are zarley 100%z

If I recall correctly, the Wolves were tied for 5th place when they got Mews- they were probably thinking he would make them serious contenders. They are somewhere in the middle of the league now.

Gridin back in the lineup tonight with a 1 goal and 2 assists, nice to see him back. I couldn’t find any injury news on him.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from Lipinski this season after a slow start. I know he's not the most exciting player in our prospect pool but I like the player profile - big body center, puts up lots of assists and is strong on face-offs.

Do you know if his skating/speed has improved?. I think Flames management has concerns he isn’t quick enough. He is a right handed center something the organization needs.

I can't say how far his skating ability has come over the past year, but I have had the chance to watch him a few times with the Giants over the past couple of seasons and that does stick out as the weak spot in his play. Hoping the skating coaches in Calgary can work their magic like they have with some other players recently.

This guy was taken a few picks after Gridin. Did Flames miss something here?

I think the whole league did. As far as I can remember, he was ranked around the middle of the first-round, to the early twenties....
