NBC can’t give Canada any sort of credit, pretty funny
All about the Americans messing up, Canada Silver in 2021 then Gold in 2024, World champions in 2022 as well. But according to NBC it was the Americans to lose

Remember way back in 1996 when Bob Costas was doing his mental math and suggesting Michael Johnson was the fastest man in the world and not Donovan Bailey because if you divided his 200m time in half, it was faster than what Bailey won the 100m. That was the catalyst where Bailey kicked his butt at SkyDome in the 150m race.

the men's relay win in 96 was (at least til this morning) my favorite Canadian team win internationally (I was 2 in 1972 so I can't comment) ever
but these guys are a golden generation. such pros. were counted out this week but here we are
I was so lucky to see them win the world's in Eugene in 2022. we watched Blake slowly pace off his steps while Noah Lyles, also running the 2nd leg was running around amping the crowd
Aaron Brown has to be one of my favourite athletes and Degrasse- give him his props. all of them . Rodney. Blake- that guy used to come run track meets in the summer at Foothills track, he was better than anyone else but I didn't appreciate I was watching a gold medalist
my guys. frickin' awesome

But but but, Johnson got injured in that race! (Conveniently after Donovan already passed him haha)

I guess I was hoping for an individual finals appearance for either Degrasse or Brown this year but I wasn't expecting anything- for sure not a medal- there but even this morning I was saying to people- don't count them out on the relay- its tactical, its about precision. sometimes a little experience and familiarity goes a long way
The coach is blaming the unfair system for the US losing. What a complete loser attitude. That might be part of their problem.
Not following.
It was Carl Lewis, who is part of something, saying the American system is broken. And it is
They are the only country who does not really practice as a team. Which sounds pretty typically American. He said they need to treat it as a team event and not just 4 fast individuals.
At least that's the only thing I saw similar to what you are mentioning
Has anybody seen an estimate of when the wrestling (57kg women's freestyle) bronze match is going to be? It's 13th on Mat B according to the schedule but I have no idea what that equates to.
For those that don't know it's Hannah Fay Taylor of Canada against Helen Louise Maroulis of the US. I know nothing about wrestling but I'm sure we will win
