I’m guessing they want the Eiffel Tower lit up for the volleyball final but 10:30pm local time for a final is pretty ridiculous.

Highly recommend table tennis to anyone that's awake at that time to watch. At the top level it is an extraordinary viewing experience.

This gold medal men's teams match between Sweden and China is excellent table tennis. I have a buddy who has a table in his basement and he isn't even a pro, though did play throughout his childhood and teenage years and my god, it's frustrating playing against him. I can't even return probably 40% of his damn serves! I can't imagine what it would be like playing Olympic-level talent...

Anybody ever watch clips of Ski Ballet from '88?
Ya...break dancing is going to look at least as stupid (while undeniably impressive) in 20 years.

Ski ballet needs to be back in the olympics.
You know what else were demonstration sports in 1988? Curling and Short Track Speed Skating - now staples of the Olympics.

Caught the women's 4x400m race live, whoever ran the 3rd leg for Canada (blonde) should be running anchor, she was incredible! Took Canada from 5th to 2nd and had to make up a lot of ground doing it, was a big reason they qualified for the final.

China takes the gold after winning the final game of the team's finals for table tennis over Sweden. The Swedes are damn impressive and that last game was close!
